Caloor

Terms of use

The agreement between you and Caloor.

Last updated 4 September 2026

These are the terms for using Caloor. They are short because the app is simple. By using Caloor you agree to them.

What Caloor is

Caloor estimates the food and nutrition in what you log, from photos, barcodes and a catalogue, and shows your progress against targets calculated from what you tell it about yourself. Estimates are estimates: a photo cannot be weighed, and nutrition figures from packets and public databases carry their own errors. The app labels what is approximate and what you typed yourself.

Not medical advice

Nothing in Caloor — the targets, the diet plans, the coach, the meal planner — is medical advice, and none of it replaces a doctor, a dietitian or a nurse. Do not use it to manage a medical condition, an eating disorder, a pregnancy, or a child's diet without professional advice. The app sets a floor below which it will not take a calorie target, and it says when a question is one for a doctor; those are safeguards, not a substitute.

Your account

You must be 16 or older. Keep your email account secure, since that is how you sign in. You are responsible for what is logged and contributed from your account.

Premium

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store, monthly or yearly, with a free trial where offered. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the purchase is confirmed. The subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and cancellation is done in your Apple ID settings, not in the app. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies.

Premium's unlimited scans and coach questions are subject to a fair-use ceiling set far above ordinary use, so that one account cannot run up costs that everyone else pays for. If you reach it, it resets the next day.

Premium days granted for a verified catalogue contribution or for inviting a friend are gifts, have no cash value, and can be withdrawn if the contribution turns out to be wrong or copied or the invitation was to yourself.

What you contribute

When you add a product or a dish to the catalogue you give us a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish it to other users, correct it, and include it in the catalogue and in the estimates the app makes. Contribute only what you have the right to share and what you believe to be accurate. We may remove or change any contribution.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to harm others, to load it with content that is not food, to probe or overload the service, or to reverse engineer it. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and changes

Caloor is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and features can change. Where the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on an estimate, from an outage, or from a change to the service.

Ending

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
